In our Uganda project we closely work with a local charity involved with finding vulnerable children. This could be children living on the streets, children staying with relations but who have been mistreated, not cared for or fed. We also source families who are interested in fostering a child, once a match is found based on the requirements of both the potential foster parents and the child, a link is made.
A school is found for the child, feeding and clothing is also taken care of. Three visits are made to the child during the course of the year to see their progress. The local team in Uganda keeps in touch with the child to make sure he/she settles well.
Our beneficiaries in Uganda are 8 school pupils.
